Who is on the platform
- Mentors are identity-verified, background-checked, and bound by a code of conduct they re-sign annually.
- Brand reviewers use named work accounts tied to their employer's domain.
- Learners 18+ verify with government ID; learners 16–17 require parent consent; learners 14–15 require parent consent + supervised onboarding.
How communication works
- All conversations between minors and adult mentors happen in moderated cohort rooms — never in private DMs.
- Adult-to-adult DMs exist; adult-to-minor DMs are technically disabled.
- Cohort rooms retain a 90-day rolling log for safety review.
Reporting & response
Every page has a Signal shortcut (⌘.) that includes a "Report a concern" path. Reports go to a dedicated trust team — not a generic support queue — and we publish median response times in our annual transparency report.
Parent visibility
- Parents of under-18 learners receive a monthly digest of shipped work, mentor feedback, and cohort participation.
- Parents can request a full export at any time.
- Parents can revoke consent and remove their child's profile in one click.
