HypothesisStudents assigned a real brand brief ship more polished final artifacts than students given an open-ended capstone.
MethodA/B across two grade-12 sections (n=42). One section ran the legacy capstone, one ran a SmarterUni brand brief with a weekly mentor critique. Identical rubric, blind-graded by three instructors.
Interim: brief-led section produced 1.8× the artifact-completion rate at week 6.
